Women’s access to, use of, and control over land and other productive resources are essential to ensuring their right to equality and an adequate standard of living. The purpose of this publication is to provide detailed guidance for policymakers, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to support the adoption and implementation of policies and programs that protect women’s rights to land and other productive resources. These rights entail the ability of women to own, use, access, control, transfer, inherit, and otherwise make decisions about land and related resources. This publication is based on the results of an expert group meeting on good practices in realizing women’s rights to productive resources, with a focus on land.
